We collect personal information given voluntarily during registration for membership (Name, Address, Phone Number, Email Address). The information collected is used to verify the member is the person they say they are and to notify Members about updates to our Web site. At no time is this information shared or sold to third parties.
The information we collect may be shared with the Authorities in such circumstances where the law requires us to do so, or to assist the Authorities in an investigation.
With respect to cookies: We use cookies to store visitor’s preferences and to automatically recognise and login members, unless the Member logged out at end of last session. The member will then have to manually log back in, but the cookie is still on your system
With respect to Address and Phone numbers, these will be used only for the initial verification process and will not be used for any other purpose without first obtaining your written consent.
If you surrender your membership or for any reason have you membership cancelled, all personal information held by us will be deleted with the sole exception of your last known IP address. In cases where the member has been banned, their last known IP address will be kept in the database as a banned IP.
With respect to Ad Servers: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any Ad Server companies.
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will contact you before we use your data for these new purposes to notify you of the policy change and request your consent.
All members can view their own information in “Your Account” or within the forum “Profile”. Please notify us of any corrections or updates needed by writing to the above address or emailing myinfo@loneparents.org
Lone Parents.Org Administrators can view all Members information. Members can view their own information. No one else can view the information.
