We have been contacted by a journalist at Woman's Own magazine - they are interested in writing an article based on our members:
"I'm working on a feature for Woman's Own magazine to tie in with Father's Day in June.
I am looking for 3 widowed dads to be interviewed and photographed with their kids for a really positive, uplifting feature about how they cope bringing up their children alone, how they've managed to start the search for love again, and what life is like for them in general.
We are looking for men aged between 30-45, and there may be a small fee available for taking part.
The photoshoot will take place sometime next week (week beginning Mon 19th May) and we can pay travel costs.

| National newspaper looking to speak to single mum... |
|

Anonymous writes "Hi,
I am researching a feature for a national daily newspaper about how being a single mum has changed over the generations.
I am looking for a single mum now whose mum and grandma were also single - they may have just brought up children for a while by themselves perhaps after divorcing and before remarrying.
We would want to speak to each woman about the pros and cons of being a single mum in their generation. For example, a recent report says it isn't unusual now - and it's probably easier than in the 70s and 80s.
The article involves a chat on the phone with myself, plus a photo (with makeover if they want) at a time to suit. There is a also a thank you payment to each person. I am also happy to read copy back.
Interested families should email me at alison@featureworld.co.uk

Six Steps at a Time ...
Have you ever faced a project or challenge that is so 'big' that it feels unbearably daunting and overwhelming? Something that looms so large that it's actually easier NOT to undertake it at all - or at least to keep putting it off?
This month's Tip offers an insight into how to tackle such a situation.
